8. CURVED PATH
The path, which has been relatively straight up until now, becomes a series of bends winding up the hillside.
In the middle of this serpentine section, you stumble on the lip of a sunken patch of dirt in the middle of the trail. The grass in the patch is sparse and much shorter than everywhere around it.
Across the dirt patch you see four fresh bear tracks.
