7. LARGE CLEARING
The trail widens before opening to a large, grassy clearing.
You see the crumpled wreck of a helicopter in a dozen pieces. The bulk of it is resting nose-first in a small crater of soft earth. One of the rotor blades is still attached. The other is missing, but a wide swath of cleanly shorn tree stumps gives you the impression it might have gone in that direction.
Beyond the wreckage, you see a break in the trees where the the trail continues.
