4. STEEP PATH
The path through the forest begins to incline to an uncomfortable angle that makes it as treacherous to walk down as it is tiring to walk up.
Halfway up, there’s a flat area that reminds you a landing between two flights of stairs.
Specifically, the stairwell in your old apartment building — maybe because its walls were green, or because it always had the strong odor of pine-scented industrial floor cleaner.
