20. BURNING TREE
Past the shed, you find yourself standing at the top of a steep hillside, in front of a lone tree framed against the night sky. The upper branches of the tree are on fire.
Down the hill, there’s more forest — and you’ve had enough forest for one day. Beyond that, you see sparse traffic travelling the highway that brought you here.
You sigh.
If your car hadn’t been flattened, you’d just drive away.
And that’s when you notice the dirt bike leaning against the tree…
