12. WOODEN FOOTBRIDGE

Back on the main trail, you hear a familiar gurgling.

There’s a wooden footbridge arching over the stream. The handrails and decking are worn smooth from decades of use, but the outer surfaces are still covered in flaking green paint.

You see a cardboard box sitting conspicuously in the middle of the bridge.
